Job Description

A Picker & Packer / Store Assistant in an automobile shop is responsible for selecting spare parts, organizing inventory, packing orders, and supporting store operations. The role ensures accurate order fulfillment and smooth handling of automotive products. Picker-packers typically select items from inventory, inspect them, and prepare them for dispatch .
🔧 Key Responsibilities
1. Picking & Packing
Pick automobile spare parts (nuts, bolts, filters, engine parts, etc.) as per order list
Verify part numbers, quantities, and quality before packing
Pack items securely to prevent damage during transport
Label packages correctly for delivery or customer pickup
2. Inventory & Store Handling
Arrange and store automobile parts systematically (by type, model, or code)
Maintain stock records (manual or computer-based)
Report low stock or damaged items
Assist in stock counting and audits
3. Store Operations
Help customers or mechanics locate parts
Load/unload goods from suppliers
Keep store/warehouse clean and organized
Follow safety procedures while handling heavy items
4. Documentation & System Work
Use invoices, pick lists, or barcode scanners to track orders
Maintain records of incoming and outgoing stock
Coordinate with sales team or supervisor for order accuracy
🧠 Required Skills
Basic knowledge of automobile spare parts (preferred)
Attention to detail (to avoid wrong parts dispatch)
Physical stamina (lifting, standing long hours)
(Picker-packers commonly need accuracy, physical ability, and coordination to handle and pack items efficiently .)

🎓 Qualifications
Minimum: 10th / 12th pass
Experience in automobile shop / warehouse preferred (0–2 years)
Freshers can apply (training provided in many shops)
