Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and passionate South Indian Chef to prepare authentic South Indian dishes while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, and hygiene. The candidate should have expertise in traditional South Indian cuisine and the ability to manage kitchen operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and cook authentic South Indian dishes such as dosa, idli, vada, uttapam, sambhar, chutneys, biryani, and meals.
Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and food quality.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen.
Manage food preparation, ingredients, and kitchen inventory.
Monitor food stock and coordinate with purchasing staff when required.
Ensure proper storage of food items as per safety standards.
Develop new menu ideas and improve existing recipes.
Work closely with kitchen staff for smooth daily operations.
Follow hotel/restaurant food safety and hygiene guidelines.
Required Skills
Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine and cooking techniques.
Expertise in preparing traditional and regional dishes.
Time management and multitasking ability.
Knowledge of food safety and kitchen hygiene practices.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Qualification
Hotel Management / Culinary certification preferred.
Relevant cooking experience can substitute formal education.
