Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Chinese Cook to prepare authentic and high-quality Chinese dishes for our hotel restaurant. The candidate should have experience in traditional and modern Chinese cooking techniques, ensuring consistency, taste, and presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes (e.g., stir-fries, noodles, dim sum, soups).
Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet hotel standards.
Manage mise en place and kitchen preparation efficiently.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per food safety standards.
Monitor inventory and assist in ordering ingredients.
Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Customize dishes based on customer preferences when required.
Ensure proper storage and handling of food items.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Chinese Cook/Chef (1–4 years preferred).
Knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques (wok cooking, steaming, frying, etc.).
Familiarity with sauces, spices, and authentic ingredients.
Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
Team player with good communication skills.
Culinary certification (preferred but not mandatory).
Preferred Skills:
Experience in hotel or restaurant kitchens.
Ability to handle bulk cooking.
Creativity in menu planning and presentation.
