About the Role

We are seeking a customer-focused Sales Officer – Electronics & Home Appliances to drive product sales, develop dealer and retail relationships, and achieve revenue targets. The role involves understanding customer requirements, recommending suitable products, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure a smooth buying experience.

Employment: Full Time
Work arrangement: Office-based, with field visits to dealers, retailers, and customers as required.
Experience: 1–3 years in electronics, home appliances, consumer durables, or related sales.

Key Responsibilities

Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for assigned products, accounts, or territories.
Identify prospective customers, dealers, and retailers through market visits, referrals, and lead follow-ups.
Explain product features, energy efficiency, warranty terms, and pricing to help customers make informed purchasing decisions.
Conduct product demonstrations and recommend appropriate appliances based on customer needs and budget.
Prepare quotations, negotiate within approved commercial terms, and follow up to close sales.
Coordinate with inventory, logistics, finance, and service teams for stock availability, order processing, deliveries, payment collection, and customer issue resolution.
Maintain accurate sales records, customer details, pipeline updates, and activity reports using CRM tools or spreadsheets.
Monitor competitor pricing, promotional activities, customer feedback, and local market opportunities.
Support in-store promotions, dealer engagement, and product launches while following company sales and credit policies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, or a related discipline; a relevant diploma with equivalent sales experience may also be considered.
1–3 years of experience in retail, dealer, distributor, or field sales, preferably in consumer electronics or home appliances.
Ability to understand and explain product specifications, features, benefits, and basic after-sales processes.
Strong communication, active listening, relationship-building, and customer service skills.
Practical experience in lead generation, negotiation, objection handling, and sales closing.
Working knowledge of CRM software, Microsoft Excel, and routine sales reporting.
Good planning and follow-up discipline, with a willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Nice to Have

Experience selling refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, televisions, or small domestic appliances.
Existing relationships with electronics retailers, appliance dealers, or distributors.
Familiarity with retail merchandising, financing or EMI options, and seasonal sales campaigns.
Ability to communicate in languages relevant to the assigned customer base.

Suggested annual fixed salary: ₹2,40,000–₹4,20,000, depending on experience, sales capability, and role scope.
