Academic Counsellor

Job Description

We are looking for a motivated Academic Counsellor to guide prospective and current students in selecting suitable training programs. The role involves understanding student needs, providing course information, and supporting them through the enrollment process while ensuring a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities
Counsel students and parents about available courses, career paths, and training programs
Understand student goals, interests, and background to recommend suitable programs
Handle inbound and outbound calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries
Convert leads into admissions by explaining course benefits and outcomes
Maintain accurate records of student interactions in CRM systems
Follow up with prospective students to drive enrollments
Coordinate with faculty and administrative staff for smooth onboarding
Conduct career guidance sessions, seminars, or webinars when required
Stay updated on industry trends, course offerings, and competitor institutions
Ensure high levels of student satisfaction and retention

Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (Education, Psychology, Business, or related field preferred)
1–3 years of experience in counseling, sales, or education advisory (freshers with strong communication skills may apply)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and persuasion abilities
Basic knowledge of CRM tools and MS Office
Ability to work in a target-driven environment
Empathy and active listening skills

Preferred Skills
Experience in EdTech or training institutes
Knowledge of career counseling frameworks
Multilingual communication skills
