About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager – Civil Engineering in Bhubaneswar to oversee construction projects from planning and mobilization through execution and handover. The role requires 4+ years of relevant civil engineering and construction experience, including responsibility for site coordination, schedules, budgets, quality, and safety. This is a full-time, site-based position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project execution plans, construction schedules, milestones, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate civil works with clients, consultants, site engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor project costs, quantities, material consumption, and progress against approved budgets and timelines.
• Review drawings, specifications, bills of quantities, and contractor submissions; coordinate clarification of technical issues before execution.
• Oversee procurement planning, material availability, equipment deployment, and workforce requirements.
• Ensure construction activities meet approved quality standards, applicable codes, contractual requirements, and site safety procedures.
• Identify project risks, resolve execution bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions to minimize delays and rework.
• Prepare progress reports, conduct review meetings, maintain project documentation, and communicate changes and escalation requirements.
• Support measurement verification, contractor billing, change management, inspections, snag resolution, and final handover.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• B.E. or B.Tech in Civil Engineering from a recognized institution.
• At least 4 years of relevant experience in civil construction, including demonstrated experience leading site teams or managing project execution.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, engineering drawings, specifications, and applicable Indian standards.
• Experience with project scheduling, cost control, quantity estimation, and BOQ tracking.
• Working proficiency in MS Project or Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and AutoCAD for drawing review.
• Understanding of quality assurance, quality control, site safety, and contractor coordination.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder communication, negotiation, and practical problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work at project sites in Bhubaneswar and manage competing execution priorities.

Nice to Have

• PMP certification or formal training in construction project management.
• Experience managing a project or defined construction package through handover.
• Familiarity with contract administration, tender documentation, and construction ERP systems.
• Exposure to BIM coordination, sustainable construction practices, or lean construction methods.
• Ability to communicate in Odia or Hindi for effective local site coordination.
