Job Description

Key Responsibilities
1. Pharmacy Operations
Supervise daily pharmacy activities and ensure smooth workflow
Dispense medications accurately in compliance with prescriptions
Ensure proper storage and handling of pharmaceuticals
Maintain records of controlled substances and prescriptions
2. Patient Care
Provide medication counseling and education to patients
Review prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and potential drug interactions
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals for optimal therapy outcomes
Monitor patient medication therapy and report adverse effects
3. Team Leadership
Supervise and mentor junior pharmacists and pharmacy technicians
Conduct training and performance evaluations
Schedule staff shifts and manage workload distribution
4. Compliance & Quality Assurance
Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and pharmacy laws
Implement and maintain SOPs and quality standards
Participate in audits and inspections
Maintain proper documentation and reporting systems
5. Inventory Management
Monitor stock levels and ensure availability of medicines
Manage procurement and vendor relationships
Reduce wastage and expired stock through effective inventory control
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm / M.Pharm)
Valid pharmacist license/registration (as per local regulatory authority)
5–10 years of experience in a pharmacy setting
